How it works: The Kelly Criterion calculates the optimal fraction of your bankroll to risk on a bet, given your perceived edge. Full Kelly maximizes long-term growth but has high variance — most professionals use Half-Kelly (×0.5) or Quarter-Kelly (×0.25) to reduce drawdowns. If the calculator suggests negative Kelly, you don't have a positive expected value play.
