How it works: The Kelly Criterion calculates the optimal fraction of your bankroll to stake on a single position, given your perceived edge. Full Kelly maximizes long-term growth but has high variance — most professionals use Half-Kelly (×0.5) or Quarter-Kelly (×0.25) to reduce drawdowns. If the calculator returns a negative Kelly, there is no positive expected value at those odds.
